  • INK ON PAPER, BOUND
Arabic manuscript on paper, 38 leaves, plus 4 flyleaves, 9 lines to the page, written in naskh script in black ink, gold and polychrome verse markers in various shapes, ruled in gold, illuminated cartouches with polychrome floral scrolls, double page illuminated frontispiece written in naskh script within clouds against a gold ground, f.1b with dense rococo floral scrolls surrounding a turban stand, similar motif at the end, in contemporaneous morocco binding, with flap, in fitted case, each decorated with gilt trellis design

Condition

In good overall condition, the margins are clean; f.6 has been teared on the inner side, f.35 missing the top corner, which though does not affect the text panel, f. 36 with minor paper restoration on the upper edge, but otherwise in good condition, with minor various stains through, the illumination bright, the binding in good condition, the fitted case with a tear on the side, as viewed.
