Please note that on each panel is not carved of solid chenxiang wood but of is chenxiang wood veneer, both on the back and on the front of each panel, attached to a thin wooden core,and then glued into the frame at a later stage. The wooden frame is of a different wood. There are tiny chips and minor losses to the frame. On the panels, are overall losses to the raised parts of the carving, some scratches to the surface and some cracks, some filled in areas. There is a ca. 2,5cm loss on one figure's left arm on the left hand panel in the catalogue illustration and a ca. 2,1 cm scratch to the rocks on the panel next to it. There is a ca. 1,8cm loss to the rock on the 7th panel from the left hand side in the catalogue illustration. The carving is fine with a lot of detailing. The wood quite fragrant.
