Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the overall tonality is lighter and brighter in the original work. The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. Due to the thick paint layer used by the artist, the canvas is slightly ondulated. Some hairline, stabilized cracks are visible only under very close inspection on the surface, mainly located on the upper left quadrant. There are some pigment losses on some of the tips of the thicker impastos, visible under very close inspection. The edges and corners present some faint wears. Under Ultra Violet light inspection there is no evidence of restoration. This work is in very good condition overall.

Catalogue Note

I am very close to the Impressionists. Whether I paint with large brushstrokes or in small dabs, I always paint my emotion.
