Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is slightly deeper in the original. Condition: This work is in good condition. The varnish on the white areas has discoloured slightly over time, which is in keeping with the artist's choice of media. Visible only when inspected under ultraviolet light are a few spots of inpainting in places that fluoresce. There is a small area to the tip of each of the wings and in places to the reverse of the work. There are some minute specks in isolated places; to the chin of the female figure, and to the left facing leg of the male figure. These are not visible when inspected in natural light.

Catalogue Note

“My work is about color, the changing of colors for dreams and emotions–red, blue, yellow green, purple. And it’s about roundness and the curves of nature. My work gives me hope, enthusiasm, structure. My work is my real diary”
