Condition

Overall in very good condition. The glass tiles that comprise the table top are in original condition with some air bubbles and very small burst air bubbles, all of which are inherent to the glass making. The coffee table base was carefully and professionally restored to remove a layer of white lacquer finish exposing the original rich mahogany base, in turn reinstating the piece to its original design. There is a small loss of veneer at the bottom edge (approx. 1 in.). The bronze border of the table top with some scattered areas of oxidation, natural tarnishing and light surface scratches consistent with use and the natural aging process of the material. The table is set on castor wheels. The biomorphic form, combined with creatively placed mosaic tiles, creates a dynamic and playful design that is highly characteristic of works by Kagan.
