Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The chair has acquired a beautiful patina. The polished bronze of the seat with a beautiful natural hue. This area of the chair shows the natural quality of the bronze including inherent discolorations and the joints undertaken by the artists. Please contact the 20th Century Design department for additional photographs showing the seat. The patination to the rock portion of the chaise with a rich and saturated hue. The patination further enhances the deeply sculptural surfaces. A wonderful rare work from the "Rock" series in original condition. ---

Catalogue Note

The "Rock" furniture series was designed in 2003 by Studio Job and introduced in 2004 by Dilmos in Milan (aluminium set). The series comprising the "Rock" Sofa, "Rock" Chair and "Rock" Chaise quickly became a sensation and examples of the "Rock" series are in the permanent collections of the Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam) and the Groninger Museum in the Netherlands.
