Condition

The canvas is relined. Overall the painting is in very favorable condition. The somewhat recent relining has not pressed the paint. Colors are fresh. UV light reveals a few small isolated retouches, for instance in the sitter's right sleeve and a few scattered areas along the cheek and chin. The condition overall is fresh and it can be hung as is. In a carved giltwood frame with some flaking.
