Each applied with a medallion initialled 'GR' within bands of horizontal reeding, comprising two Westerwald examples and a Staffordshire 'scratch blue' tankard.

Provenance

The Westerwald tankards: Robert Hunter, Period Designs, Yorktown, Virginia.

Condition

Staffordshire scratch-blue tankard: There is an approximate 1/4-inch restored rim chip issuing a short haircrack and another approximate 1-inch haircrack running down from the rim edge. There is a short haircrack circling halfway around the handle. Larger Westerwald tankard (in the middle in the online illustration): There are firing cracks circling around the handle terminals where the handle meets the tankard. Otherwise in good condition. Westerwald tankard (on the right in the online illustration): 1-inch rim chip and some very minor and very few abrasion-like chipping to the outer edges of the rim and the reeded decoration.
