Printed on one side with initialed portraits of Samuel Adams and John Hancock beneath a Washington monument within an oval panel surrounded by the inscription The Memory of WASHINGTON and the Proscribed PATRIOTS of America..., the reverse with a ship in full sail flying an American flag, and beneath the spout the Great Seal above a further inscription and the date Anno Domini 1804.

Condition

The jug is in good condition apart from a very short haircrack running down the rim from near the spout, some minor, short scratching to the enamels and glaze overall and a 1/2-inch diameter circular firing-related fault on the side with the ship, below the ship.
