after a model by D.I. Ivanov depicting Tamara Karsavina in the title role of Stravinsky's ballet 'The Firebird', with Cyrillic monogram of Elena Danko dated 1921, the underside with illegible Russian incision and blue hammer, cog and sickle

Condition

Very good condition and sharply cast. The tips of the feather to the back of the figure's skirt with glazing loss and associated re-touching to the paint. The gilding of tips of the figure's hair and around the rim of the base very slightly worn. A very small and shallow chip to a feather tip at the back of the figure's headdress. The underside of the base with light wear, as to be expected with age.
