Catalogue Note
The Toronto Rock and Roll Revival was held at Varsity Stadium at the University of Toronto, for an audience of over 20,000. The Doors headlined the festival, while Kim Fowley performed MC duties. The festival featured additional performances from Bo Diddley, Chicago, Alice Cooper, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Gene Vincent, and Little Richard, among many others. John Lennon and Yoko Ono also made an appearance as the Plastic Ono Band, which resulted in the release of their live album Live Peace in Toronto 1969 — the first live album released by any member of the Beatles separately or together.
