Description

  • Diane Arbus
  • 'Man at a Parade on Fifth Avenue NYC'
  • gelatin silver print
signed, titled, dated, and editioned '26/75' by Doon Arbus, the photographer's daughter, in ink and with the Arbus Estate copyright and reproduction rights stamps on the reverse, 1969, printed posthumously by Neil Selkirk (Revelations, p. 303)

Condition

This print, on double-weight Agfa paper, is in generally excellent condition. In raking light, the following are visible: tiny scattered deposits of retouching; and a barely discernible 6-inch surface scratch running from the upper edge of the margin into the image. There is a small glossy deposit of indeterminate nature in the upper margin. The margin corners are bumped, and there are small creases at the lower left and right margins corners. The Arbus Estate copyright stamp is dated '72' in ink. 'RMG# A8809.200-0' and 'DA 409X' are written in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse.
