Condition

Some dents overall to rim commensurate with age - very tiny hole at the place of the mark. a split at 1 o'clock, crease at 11 o'clock. Good impression and proportion when handled. Nice and rare piece.

Catalogue Note

Un plat en vermeil au poinçon de Saragosse vers 1500 est illustré dans l'ouvrage de Cristina Esteras Martin, La plateria de la coleccion Varez Fisa, p.33. Il présente une frise de tressage identique à celle de l'ombilic de notre plat. Au même motif, dans la collection Alorda Derksen, figure, daté vers 1525, un plat au poinçon de Valladolid ou Saragosse (p. 68).
