Condition

The following condition report is provided by Hamish Dewar who is an external specialist and not an employee of Sotheby's: The panel is uncradled. There is a pattern of craquelure throughout the composition. There are a few small paint losses on the figure and on the in built frame. The varnish layers are uneven. Inspection under ultra-violet light shows discoloured varnish layers and scattered lines and spots of retouching throughout. Overall the painting is in relatively good condition. The work is framed.
