Condition
The canvas has a recent relining. The paint surface is clean and ha suffered wear, particularly in the darker background.
Inspection under ultraviolet light shows extensive retouching throughout the dark background, all carefully carried out. In addition, there are some scattered retouchings throughout the still life. There is a repair measuring 5x2 cm. just above Saint Joseph's head, probably a repair of an old damage to the canvas.
This lot is offered in a simple gilded frame, with much wear to the gilding, but otherwise structurally sound.
