Condition

The following condition report is provided by Hamish Dewar who is an external specialist and not an employee of Sotheby's: The panel is uncradled and slightly bowed. The paint surface has a craquelure pattern which is stable. Inspection under ultra-violet light shows two thick bands of retouching running down the left and right vertical framing edges which are possibly additions. There are many other scattered lines and dots of retouching throughout the composition. Overall the painting is in good condition. The work is framed.
