Condition

Canvas is unlined or has extremely old loose lining. Picture has likely not been significantly cleaned or restored in years. No retouches visible above the varnish, which has slightly discolored and could be freshened. A possible strip has been added at the top edge, or the original tacking edge has been unfurled to help fit frame. Painting is in lovely condition, and it might benefit from a light clean. In a carved giltwood frame.
