Each set with a pear-shaped and an oval stone weighing 9.46 and 12.32 carats respectively, decorated with foliate motifs set with single-cut and rose diamonds, post and hinged back fittings later added.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 86415 and CISGEM report no. 2032, both stating that the pear-shaped and oval rubies measuring 14.13 x 12.65 x 6.16mm and 14.65 x 11.83 x 8.65mm, and weighing 9.46 and 12.32 carats, are of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Also accompanied by Gübelin report no. 16070144, stating that the modified pear-shaped stone weighing 12.33 carats and measuring 14.65 x 11.83 x 8.65mm, is a ruby of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating, and no. 16070143, stating that the pear-shaped stone weighing 9.46 carats and measuring 14.15 x 12.66 x 6.16mm, is a pink sapphire of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating . Please note the discrepancy between the laboratory reports for the 9.46 carat stone. While the SSEF and the CISGEM describe it as a ruby, the Gübelin describes it as a pink sapphire. Rubies pinkish red of medium strong saturation, according to the SSEF report. The pink sapphire weighing 9.46 carats reddish-pink and the ruby weighing 12.33 carats pink-red, according to the Gübelin reports. Stones with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, abrasions, chips and nicks; for further details on the gems, please refer to the gemmological reports. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with age and use, clip and post fittings later added. In good condition. Total gross weight approximately 17 grams.
