Sapphire and diamond brooch

Set with a step-cut sapphire weighing 57.60 carats, within a frame of brilliant-cut, pear- and marquise-shaped diamonds, maker's mark. 

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 83393, stating that the step-cut sapphire weighing 57.60 carats and measuring 22.48 x 18.89 x 13.17mm, is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. Maker's mark. Stamped Pt 950 for platinum and OR for gold. Sapphire blue of medium strong saturation, with very good transparency, clean to the naked eye, with minor abrasions, chips and scratches; for further details on the sapphire, please refer to the SSEF report. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 10.00 - 12.00 carats, on average G-H colour, VVS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 32 grams.
