Designed as a series of kite-shaped motifs set with brilliant-cut diamonds, alternating with pear-shaped links set with cabochon emeralds and brilliant-cut diamonds, separates into six pieces, which can be worn as bracelets and a brooch, necklace length approximately 520mm, bracelet lengths approximately 175mm, each piece signed VCA, numbered, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Pendant brooch signed V.C.A., numbered 25600, French maker's marks for Van Cleef & Arpels, French assay marks and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Necklace detaches into four segments, each signed V. C.A., with French maker's marks for Van Cleef & Arpels, French assay marks and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold, numbered 25601, 25602, 25603 and 26401. Emeralds well matched in colour, green of medium strong saturation, semi-transparent to translucent, with typical surface reaching inclusions, fissures and cavities. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 60.00 - 65.00 carats, on average G-H colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal, clasps secure. In very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 124 grams.
