Condition

Potted Plant: The sheet appears sound and is not laid down. There are one or two tiny spots of rubbing to the surface of the sheet towards the upper right vertical edge. There are one or two creases around the edges of the sheet. There is some discolouration and very light staining to the sheet, primarily apparent to the right and left vertical edges, and there are some very small scattered spots of foxing in places. There are some light specks of surface dirt. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition. The work is presented in a simple wooden frame, held under glass. The two prints: Rose and Hand; and Rose and Lattice: With full margins, in good condition, unframed. Minor imperfections to the individual sheets include: Rose and Hand: A short line of rubbing and a couple of tiny graphite traces at the right of the image, very pale paper discoloration and occasional traces of surface soiling towards the sheet edges, a tiny surface abrasion in the lower margin, the occasional minute fox mark, a short crease at the lower right corner of the sheet, a few tiny nicks to the extreme sheet edges, a few finger marks at the right sheet edge verso. Rose and Lattice: A vertical pressure mark in the upper margin extending slightly into the image, a tiny nick in the left sheet edge, a minute brown stain at extreme upper right sheet edge, occasional light handling creases.
