Description

comprising twenty-one leaves of double-pages between wooden covers lined with a continuous wan diaper silk brocade, the front cover cut with a recessed rectangular blue-ground title panel embellished with the gilt carved characters 'bao sou' framed within two stylised pairs of archaistic dragons, the first fourteen leaves of the interior pages carefully pressed in crimson-red seal paste with the marks of one hundred and nineteen of the Kangxi Emperor's seals, each page with two, three, six or nine marks contingent on the sizes of the seals, the inscription of each mark inscribed with black ink in regular script to the right hand side of each mark, save the last set of six with their inscriptions written below the marks and a short explanation of the seals to the right, the last six leaves left blank
