Condition

The medium is oil on canvas, not lined. The work is in good condition. There is some frame rubbing. There are some long lines of craquelure throughout which are stabilised. In the upper left quadrant there are two small spots of loss to the top layer of paint, but due to the layer of blue below they are barely perceptible. Another similar point of loss is in the upper right quadrant, about 2 inches from the top edge. Under UV: there are several small dashes of inpainting in the upper right quadrant and a 3-4inch. network of cracquelure in the lower center which has been filled in. The colors are strong and the work presents very well.
