Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, affixed to the backing board intermittently along all four edges and floating in the mount. The upper and left edges are slightly deckled. There are artist's pinholes to all four corners. There is a small tear of approximately 1cm long towards the centre of the right edge, another at the upper left corner and a few further small nicks in places. There are some flattened creases to the sheet most prominently across the upper right corner and two further vertical creases running from the centre of the upper edge, visible in raked light. There are two pigment losses to the left flank of the horse and a further small loss to the back leg. There is a tiny surface scuff to the upper left quadrant. This work is in overall good condition.
