Condition
Canvas not lined. Very fine pigment separation through the canvas; yellowed varnish. A few scattered dots of surface accretion in the lower right quadrant. Pigment separation is evident in the background, especially in the darker areas towards the top. Under UV light: old inpainting in the background around the head, fine strokes of retouching on face and head. There is a fine line of retouching to the subjects proper left hand.
