Catalogue Note

This composition depicts the artist as a young boy, while in a Catholic protectory in the East Bronx. He spent several periods of time at this facility as the results of having been picked up for truancy. He is seen at the top right of the playground, waving to his father who is waving back from beside his ice trucl. Fasanella assisted his father with ice deliveries from the age of seven.
