  • Gold, ruby and diamond
Depicting a pair of birds perched on a branch, set with inverted pear-shaped rubies and baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds, numbered, fitted case. 

Condition

Rubies: Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Accompanied by Laboratoire Francais de Gemmologie report no. 152142, stating that the two largest rubies are of Burmese origin, with no indications of heat treatment. Rubies, purplish red, transparent, typical inclusions visible under the naked eye, few chips and abrasions consistent with age and wear. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 4.00-5.00 carats, estimated colour H/I, estimated clarity SI, a few I, included. Scratches to the metal consistent with age and wear. Later brooch fitting, secured with an additional safety chain. In good condition overall. Accompanied by a fitted case.
