Catalogue Note

The brooch is a unique piece created by Arnaldo Pomodoro. Born in 1926 in Morciano, Italy, Arnaldo Pomodoro began his studies with stage design and goldsmithing and went on to become one of the most important artists of the Italian post-war era. Specialising in geometric bronze works, his sculptures often appear to be caught in time, in the process of transforming from one shape into another.
