Provenance

Born in Venice in 1928, Aloisia Aloisi led an active social life surrounded by artists attracted to the city during the Venice Film Festival. In the 1950s, Aloisia left her family to marry Count Niccolò Rucellai, choosing to settle in Florence and start her career. Under the guidance of Fulco di Verdura and Cesare Settepassi, she took her first steps into the fascinating world of jewellery. In the 1960s, she presented her first jewellery collection, creating bespoke pieces for esteemed clients such as Begum of Hyderabad, Baroness Thyssen-Bornemisza, Charlotte Ford and Anna Bolchini Bonomi. Her son, Simone, joined the company in the late 1970s, and since her death in 1984, has continued to maintain the archives and her legacy.
