Condition

These impressive cabinets are in country house condition. The first cabinet is in reasonable conserved condition, with marks and scratches consistent with age and use. One finial to the gallery is detached. One gilt-bronze handle to the top left drawer is cracked and needs to be secured. One architectonic element to central top drawer is detached. The mount that would have been in the niche to the central left hand side drawer is missing, as is one piece of the adjoining drawer front. The bottom right drawer is missing its lock. The second cabinet with one column and three mounts detached, as well as parts of veneer which can be re-attached. Both cabinets overall missing parts of mouldings, gilt-bronze mounts and glass-mounted drops. Both with traces of old woodworm that appears to be no longer active. The cabinets would benefit from professional attention.
