FR : Très bon état général. Ce bureau a fait l'objet d'une restauration récente sous la supervision de Sotheby's. Au cours de son histoire, il avait été peint, il fut donc entièrement décapé. Le plateau principale présente une restauration au placage au revers d'environ 30 x 4 cm. Le plateau ayant été retourné à une époque ultérieure, quelques petits trous de fixation ont été rebouchés. Traces d'oxydation éparse sur le métal et petites rayures sur l'ensemble de la surface, l'ensemble d'usage. EN : Very good overall condition. This desk was restored under the supervision of Sotheby's. The desk was painted at some point and was therefore completely stripped. A restoration of the veneer of approximately 30 x 4 cm on the underside of the top. The top was flipped over at a later date and some fixation holes were filled up. Minor oxidation traces on the metal and some small scratches scattered on the surface, all of it consistent with age and use.

Le Fond Louis Dalbet , déposé au Centre Pompidou. Bibliothèque Kandinsky, possède un grand nombre de bons de commande et factures d'atelier provenant de la collaboration de Louis Dalbet et Pierre Chareau. Le bureau- table à thé que nous vous présentons a été commandé à 'La Boutique' de Pierre Chareau, le 17 juillet 1930, par Mr Edgar Baer, habitant Boulevard Suchet à Paris. Commande particulière avec un plateau de 45cm de profondeur et exécuté en novembre en quinze jours par quatre artisans, il sera livré au client le 13 décembre. Edgar et Arlette Baer, déménage en 1938, pour s'installer boulevard Flandrin date à laquelle ce bureau a très probablement été cédé. Nous remercions monsieur Francis M. Lamond pour ses recherches ayant permis de retracer l'histoire de ce bureau.

The Louis Dalbet archives, held in the Bibliothèque Kandinsky of the Centre Pompidou, include many order forms and invoices resulting from the collaboration between Louis Dalbet and Pierre Chareau. The desk that is being offered was ordered at Pierre Chareau's 'La Boutique' on July 17th 1930 by Mr Edgar Baer, residing Boulevard Suchet in Paris. A special order with a table top 45 cm deep, realised in two weeks in November by four craftsmen, it was delivered to the client on December 13th. Edgar and Arlette Baer moved to the Boulevard Flandrin in 1938 at which time the desk was likely sold. We would like to thank Mr Francis Lamond for his help in tracing the history of this desk.
