  • The box: 6.5cm. high, 20.5cm. wide, 5.5cm. deep; 2½in., 8in., 2¾in.

Provenance

The George III box was a gift from the artist Angela Conner to Andrew, 11th Duke of Devonshire (1920-2004)

Condition

A decorative group, lid of the box slightly warped, later velvet lining, old marks and scratches throughout. Victorian canister with losses to varnish and lacking glass liner. Modern fruit form boxes, generally good, each inscribed R.W to the reverse. 17.5cm high (canister)
