George III style, each with a trellis motif above cane reserves, joined by supporting rails and including a modern box base and a modern mattress

Condition

Mattress and box base with modern low fire resistant labels. Complies with BS 7177 : 1989. The lower cross bar of each with signs of wood worm. The central cane panel of the footboard with pushed through cane. Some old marks and scratches.

The Edwardian components of this bed were restored by Robert J Getty when Clerk of Works on the Chatsworth estate. This model was then copied for beds at the Devonshire Arms Hotel at Bolton Abbey, Yorkshire and other properties.
