Condition

This work is in excellent condition. Close inspection under raking light reveals a soft arching scratch located approximately 18" to the left of the figure's bag at center. A very small number of other minor and unobtrusive surface anomalies are visible under very close inspection and almost certainly the normal result of handling and age. There are small areas of apparent studio retouching to the image in the figure's bag, the open page of her book, the hair at her neck, and the wrap of her sandwich by her finger, which are visible upon very close inspection.
