Catalogue Note

RARE. A finely produced Anglo-Chinese tribute to Queen Victoria to celebrate her diamond jubilee from "The undersigned, Residents of Hongkong, of all races and of all classes, subjects of foreign states dwelling in this colony, as well as the subjects of Your Majesty". The silver Chinese characters on the cover express the wishes of “sagacity and longevity without limit” and “prosperity, longevity, health and tranquillity”.
