Tasted at the Château in April, during the En Primeur tastings. Huge, allenveloping, opulent nose. Amazing mocha and black fruit energy on the palate. It has a crispness to it, due to the great health of the raw material. Blueberries bound out of the glass at you. There is great tannin hiding behind velvet curtains. A landmark Palmer. A 225 LITRE BARREL OF CHÂTEAU PALMER 2015
This lot is sold lying at Château Palmer Ex cellars, in Bordeaux, France. After the wine is bottled and labeled, the buyer is responsible for collecting the wines and making all shipping and importation arrangements, which must be completed before December 2018.
The back label for each bottle will be personalized with the buyer's name.
A PRIVATE VISIT AND DINNER AT CHÂTEAU PALMER Guests will arrive in the late afternoon at the cellars of Château Palmer, for a private tour of the vineyards, the winery and the village. This will be followed by a tasting with a member of Palmer’s technical team featuring Château Palmer and Alter Ego. Guests will then have an intimate dinner in the main dining room with Thomas Duroux, CEO, where some of Château Palmer’s most celebrated vintages will be served, with a menu designed by Seiji Nagayama, the chef of Château Palmer,
- Château Palmer visit and dinner is for 8 guests
- The visit and wine dinner must be redeemed within 1 year (before 4 June 2017) and is non-transferable
- The date of visit and dinner must be held on the same day
- The date needs to be mutually agreed at least 3 months in advance with Château Palmer
- Château Palmer is closed weekends and holidays
225 litres equates to 25 cases or 300 regular size bottles
The buyer can choose any mix of different bottle sizes which totals exactly 225 litres from:
- half bottles = 0.375L
- bottles = 0.75L
- magnums = 1.5L
- double magnums = 3L
- jeroboams = 5L
- imperials = 6L
- salmanazar = 9L
- balthazar = 12L
- nebuchadnezzar = 15L
- melchior = 18L
The buyer must inform Château Palmer about the preferred formats and quantities no later than 31 March 2017. If no preference is provided by this date, the following will be bottled:
48 half bottles 0.375L = 18L
120 bottles 0.75L = 90L
24 magnums 1.5L = 36L
5 double magnums 3L = 15L
2 imperials 6L = 12L
1 salmanazar 9L = 9L
1 balthazar 12L = 12L
1 nebuchadnezzar 15L = 15L
1 melchior 18L = 18L
Total: 225L
- The buyer must inform Château Palmer of the precise name (one name only) to be printed on the back label by 31 March 2017. If this is not received by this date, no name will be printed
- The wines will be available for collection from the château from September 2018 and collection must take place before the end of December 2018
