Condition

The sheet has been laid down onto card. The card is sound. The sheet is deckled along the right vertical edge and unevenly cut along the left vertical edge. There are remnants of adhesive and mounting board in places around the edge of the sheet, not visible in the present mount. The edges of the sheet are slightly discoloured, conforming to the lines of the mount, not visible in the present mount. The sheet is very slightly cockled along the lower edge. There are tiny specks of loss to the medium, most noticeable to the black of the background, and small spots of surface dirt and mould, most noticeable to the figure's hair. Subject to the above the work is in good overall condition. The work is window mounted and held within a painted black wood frame under glass.
