Two works in one volume, 4to (8 1/2 x 6 1/4 in.; 216 x 159 mm). Black letter text in double columns, 71 lines to the full column, general title and New Testament title within same woodcut border, woodcut initials and tailpieces, printer's ornaments used as headpieces and borders: two holes costing a few words on Ff5 and text in 9 lines on Eee5, three fore-edge tears (two repaired with some loss to side-notes on B8 and Pp7, the third slightly affecting one text line on P5), occasional dampstaining, light browning to edges, a few leaves browned overall. Bound with: R[obert]. F. H[errey]. Two Right Profitable and Fruitfull Concordances, or Large and Ample Tables Alphabeticall ... London: Robert Barker, 1602. Woodcut ornament on title-page and tailpiece on colophon page; dampstaining, a few headlines shaved, last three leaves guarded, terminal leaf frayed at top, torn along fore-edge affecting 7 text lines, creased, and age-darkened or soiled on verso. Nineteenth-century burgundy morocco blocked in blind, dark rose coated endpapers, edges gilt, brass hasp and catchplate; extremities rubbed, a few short scratches to upper cover.
