the steel helmet of tall domed form with movable nasal guard flanked by two plume holders, gold-overlaid calligraphic band with stylised borders along rim, the spike finial on chased foliate mount, camail of chain mail

Condition

In generally fair condition, the steel with rubbing to gilding, discoloration and due to slight oxidisation to surface, the mount for the spike probably a later replacement, the chain-mail missing some links and with some oxidisation/slight abrasion, as viewed.
