Provenance

Acquired in China between 1894 and 1922.
Thence in the family by descent. 

Condition

Paper color faded due to age and exposure of sunlight, especially the first couplet. Minor loss of ink due to horizontal creases before the current mounting. Stain spots can be found. A round oil stain can be found on the bottom of the first couplet.
