Condition

The canvas is unlined. There are a few thin webs of craquelure to the lower part of the oblong beige/brown shape on the bird's torso. There is no evidence of retouching under UV light. There are traces of newspaper ink transfer to the figure's left hand (visible in the catalogue illustration) which are part of the artistic process. Apart from some minor frame rubbing along the extreme edges, this work is in very good original condition. Please note that the colours in the original are brighter and more blue than the catalogue illustration suggest.
