Condition

The body of the vase is repaired from numerous large and small fragments, with fills along some of the break-lines and missing areas filled in, some of them in-painted but most not, suggesting it has been broken more than once. Side A is in better shape than side B, where large areas on two of the figures in particular are filled in, as is visible in the photos. The glaze on the preserved areas is in good condition. The neck of the vessel is in fairly good condition, but seems to have small areas of overpaint and nicks filled in. One handle is intact, the other repaired and with small restorations. The foot is intact and has inked numbers and the remnant of an old label underneath.
