Overall in good condition. The glass shell rests on the gilt bronze base, secured with two small pins. The gilding with minor light surface scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use and minor discoloration concentrated to the bottom part of the snail neck, visible in the catalogue illustration. The gilt highlights of the shell with minor rubbing and wear. The dial with evidences of a later painted decoration abound the Arabic numerals. The numerals with wear and minor losses. Movement is not guaranteed to run at the time of cataloging and was not tested for accuracy of time and may need service at the buyer’s discretion. A wonderful piece. When viewed in person, the glass presents with great scale and great depth to the internal decoration of the glass.
