Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 12 cracks dispersed to the glass tiles throughout. All of these hairlines appear tight and stable. All of the favrile glass cabochon jewels appear original and undisturbed, with no visible cracks or damage. The floor base displays a particularly rich and deep green and russet brown patina. The bronze surfaces throughout with some occasional light surface scratches, abrasions and gentle rubbing consistent with age and gentle use. With some tiny paint marks along the perimeter side of the cushion base and feet; the feet terminals with rubbing and a few very small associated patina losses (all exceedingly minor). All of the outer patinated socket casings to the six electrical sockets appear original and undisturbed; the interior socket mechanisms and paddle switches are later replacements. With a replaced “Pig Tail” finial showing minimal surface wear. A beautiful example of this iconic Hanging Head “Dragonfly” model, displaying a striking color transition in the background passages of the shade, from a rich red-mauve to green to warm golds. The Dragonflies are dynamically articulated in rich aqua with bright red eyes. The lamp displays beautifully with strong sculptural presence and visual interest.
