Condition
(i) The canvas has not been lined. Ultra-violet light reveals areas of uneven fluorescence which most probably relate to the white pigments used by the artist. The work is in good original condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a gilt frame.
(ii) The canvas has not been lined. There are minor spots of paint flacking in the white impasto of the tree trunk to the lower left. Ultra-violet light reveals areas of uneven fluorescence which must be related to the white pigments used by the artist. The work is in good original condition and ready to hang.
