Condition

The canvas has not been lined. With the exception of one fine vertical line of craquelure, the work is in very good condition and ready to hang. Ultra-violet light reveals some small scattered spots which fluoresce white in the lower half of the composition: these are only visible under close inspection and appear to be remains of paper stuck to the painting surface. There are no signs of restoration. Presented in a narrow wooden frame.
