Condition

The canvas has not been lined. Ultra-violet light reveals a small area of restoration in the trees in the centre of the composition (patched on the reverse), some intermittent strokes to the left framing edge and some very small spots in the grass. This work is in good condition and ready to hang. Presented in a gilt frame with a nameplate. The colours are somewhat deeper and richer in reality than in the catalogue illustration.
