Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 10 cracks to the glass dispersed throughout, most of which are exceedingly minor and located on very small tiles. The shade with beautiful "pencil" leading rendered in extremely fine and artistic lines. A small localized area of the shade leading just below the top aperture rim was recently stabilized by a professional Tiffany conservator. The rare blown-glass base is in remarkable condition. By all accounts the green favrile glass which is blown through the bronze base reticulations is original and undisturbed, showing no visible signs of any cracks or condition issues. The favrile glass in the base with some very light surface wear and traces of light surface soiling. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base display an exceptionally rich mottled russet brown and green patina. The bronze surfaces with some occasional surface scratches, gentle rubbing, and light surface soiling to the recessed contours consistent with age and gentle handling. All the sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed. A particularly strong example of the model distinguished by a well-varied and highly saturated glass selection. The peacock eyes in particular show a strong range of jewel-tone colors. The leading to the peacock eyes is exquisitely composed in subtle graduated planes, imparting the peacock eyes with greater depth. -----
