of square section, each side of the protruding center cast with a taotie mask, the splayed foot and trumpet neck with cicada lappets, all separated by raised vertical dentilled flanges

Condition

There are numerous old chip losses scattered throughout, with a concentration around the mouth rim. There is one 2 cm wide area of shallow loss or a casting flaw on one side of the leiwen middle section. There are scattered casting imperfections, oxidation, and surface wear throughout. The interior is very dirty and there is museum putty stuck to the underside of the foot.
