Condition

Structural Condition The canvas is unlined and is securely attached to a keyed wooden stretcher. There is a stamp on the right side of the reverse of the canvas. Paint Surface The paint surface has an even varnish layer. Inspection under ultra-violet light shows some very small spots of retouching within the sky, including a small spot in the upper left and upper right corners of the composition. Summary The painting would therefore appear to be in very good and stable condition.
